August 13th Neighborhood Walk
Dear Friends:
In
support of my campaign for congress, I am walking this Saturday, September 13th to get the word out. I am looking
for volunteers (and their kids) to join me and my two children, Terre Christensen (my campaign manager), her family, Taylor
and Emily, to hand out leaflets door to door. Your role will simply be to hand out the leaflets I provide, get in a little
exercise, fresh air, and maybe a fresh perspective on the political process.
My
goal is to let people know there is another choice in congressional district 5. I want this campaign to be an example of the
importance of getting involved. Every vote does count but more importantly every one of us can make a difference. I am running
“unaffiliated” because I believe that we need a fresh perspective in congress. A perspective that has the best
interest of citizens at the forefront of congress, not the interest of the political parties. If we don’t repair the
foundation of congress, how can we build a better future? My website details some of my key issues in this campaign. It is a long shot no doubt, but we can all
make a difference. This is my attempt.
Please let me know if you can attend. If you can’t
attend but feel inclined, you can write a letter to the editor. Or you can ignore this note completely. I’m used to
that! Thank you in advance for your consideration.
When:
This Saturday September 13th
Where: We start Creek Side Middle School (Jackson Creek) and end at Deer Creek (see attached
maps)
Time:
Meet at 8:45 AM – Finish at 1:00 PM (stay as long as you can if you can’t make the entire time)
FYI: The media has been informed about the event. Don’t
be surprised if they don’t show up; but I hope you do!! I have attached my press release, flyer, and an editorial piece
I just sent to the Gazette for consideration.
*If you think
there is someone on your e-mail list that would enjoy a political stroll please feel free to forward.
